Sri Ramadas Paper Boards has a 4 MW Co-generation Power Plant which was started in the year 2005. This Power Plant supplies uninterrupted power as well as steam to the paper machines, which aids in making better quality paper cost effectively. An FBC Biomass Boiler of 30 TPH capacity of Isgec John Thompson make with Rice Paddy Husk as the primary fuel is used to generate Steam at 45 Kg/cm2. A 4 MW Triveni make Condensing cum Extraction type turbine is coupled to a BHEL Alternator to generate Power while the low pressure steam is fed to the paper machines for drying of paper.
The Boiler is equipped with an ESP before the flue gases are passed to the chimney. The air quality is regularly monitored and meeting the standards and SPM is maintained well within the norms stipulated by Pollution Control Board.
